I was in GMAIL yesterday composing an email. I was distracted by a conversation after which I returned my attention to the email, completed it, and hit send. GMAIL told me my session was over and sent me to the login screen. After I logged in I discovered that it did not keep my email and the content was lost. This is inexcusable Google! As a stateful web 2.0 application GMAIL should be able to accomodate this. It should have warned me that my session was over or something. Not cool.
